Y Llechen Credit Union
Credit Union is a savings and loans organisation. It is set up, owned and run by its members. Y Llenchen Credit Union was established in 2000 and is managed entirley by volunteers who operate collection points in Caernarfon, Bangor, Penygroes, Penrhyndeudraeth, Barmouth and Holyhead.
It costs a £1 to become a member and open an account with £5 then you can save as you please and withdraw savings whenever you require. Low cost loans are available to savers. Y Llechen Credit union is approved, licensed and regulated by the FSA and as such your money has the same security as with any High Street Bank or Building Society.
Y Lechen Credit Union is at Gwelfor every Monday between 11am and 12.30pm.
