What is Tai Chi? It is an art embracing the mind, body and spirit. Originating in ancient China, Tai Chi is one of the most effective exercise for health of the mind and body. The full name is Tai Chi Chuan which means supreme ultimate hand and fist and is a martial art, although nowdays the emphasise is on health giving benefits.
Tai Chi is taught at Gwelfor between 11am and 12noon every Friday except during the holidays.
The class is instructed bya qualified instructor Mr Philip Mansfield.
The class follows a systematic programme of exercises to develop a fine balance between the internal and external aspects of our bodies and spirit. Whilst keeping broadly to this routine there is flexability to allow for different routines and newly learned skills to be introduced.
