Any young person wishing to take part in the Awards can get in touch.

MO*LO

Mo*lo Young People Group is still going but we need more young people from the area to be involved in the group.  The group are helping with the EAT WELL BE WELL project.  They had their fourth AGM on Thursday 4th December 2008 at Gwelfor Community Centre.  Thanks to all those who attended.

MORLO ANGLING CLUB

The club was set up in 2008 to give young people the opportunity to take part in angling activities.  They meet at Gwelfor and London Road Community Centres.  More volunteers are required to help the group.  A great fishing trip was had last year (2008) in Scotland and three young members from the group have almost comleted their Bronze Youth Achievement Award.  Well done.  If you require further information contact Eddie on 07773503287.

All the above (except the Youth Club) is part of the Community First Partnership and their Community Development Work with Young People worker, who is Joan Roberts, who is also involved with the Youth Club.  She works with groups of young people, as well as individuals, to try and make sure that local young people influnce what happens in their communities.  She also helps with their personal, social and educaional development and to creat equal opportunities for all so that they are able to make a difference in their community as well as to themselves.  Links are made with other community projects involving young people.
